Enjoy Awesome Hands-On Art Activities for the Entire Family.
Collaborate on a LARGE-SCALE KINETIC MOBILE inspired by the work of Frank Pahl, an artist in the current DETROIT: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE exhibition. Play with silhouettes and light, as this large sculpture comes to light behind the curtain.
Listen to the stories and sounds that Jessica Frelinghuysen, also a part of the DETROIT: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE exhibition, collected while wearing her Sound Suit around her Detroit neighborhood. Then create and decorate a TIN CAN TELEPHONE to tell your own stories and make your own sounds.
Find a quiet space in Design 99's, "Following the Sun 2," and DRAW CLOUDS, SUNRISES and SUNSETS while enjoying the warmth of their solar and wind powered installation.
Contribute to a large installation inspired by Chiharu Shiota's TRACE OF MEMORY. Add your own web of yarn and weave in your own trace of memory.
Explore all three buildings using our interactive SCAVENGER HUNT and see a lot of art you can get in to.
Indulge in a delicious HOT CHOCOLATE BAR -- 'nuf said.
