ARTLab: Sew a Doll with Daniel Baxter

ARTLab: Sew a Doll with Daniel Baxter
Saturday, January 16, 2016
FREE with Museum Admission
Museum Lobby @ 500 Sampsonia Way

Artist Daniel Baxter from the Kreepy Doll Factory is visiting the Mattress Factory and will be making dolls with ARTlab participants! Inspired by Marnie Weber’s Ghost Train and Greer Lankton’s It’s All About Me, Not You - both of which include handmade dolls and figures. Get some inspiration and sew your very own creation! Hands-on, drop in, for all ages!

Twice a month, on the first and third Saturdays, visitors are invited to participate in a range of art-making activities that illuminate the creative process of in-residence artists. Projects and materials are developed to complement current and ongoing exhibitions. This program is free with museum admission and highly recommended for individuals or families with children of all ages.

Mattress Factory Education and Community progams are made possible by the generous support from the Allegheny Regional Assets District, Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, Jack Buncher Foundation, Sheila Fortune Foundation, Grable Foundation, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and Surdna Foundation.
