Ian Short

American, b. 1936
Ian Short is a multi-media artist and printmaker. He received his BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington and his MFA from University of Illinois, Urbana He has taught at Kent State University, Ohio, and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as the chair of the art department from 1993-1996. Short co-founded the Artists Image Resource (AIR) in Pittsburgh, an artist organization integrating fine art printmaking with education programs that explore the creative process.
