**OBJECTIVES **Students will create a large-scale collaborative perspective drawing. Students will explore perspective drawing in a new way.

**ACTIVITY **Stephen Bram’s work is focused on connection and perspective. His installation was constructed based around three chosen “vanishing points” in space. The edges of the walls in his installation follow vertical or horizontal rules that point toward one of the chosen points. This project constructs a 2-D tape installation using the same rules.

Rules of the project: All lines must be

*vertical*,

*horizontal*, or

*pointing toward one of the vanishing points*. Work with the students to choose two “vanishing points” on a large bare wall, mark the points with pencil or with a tape “x”. Each student can make as many lines using tape as they want, making sure to follow the “rules.” As a group, decide when the work is finished.

Bonus challenge: See if you can connect lines or make curved lines that still follow the rules. Try adding more vanishing points to the tape-installation. How does that change the work?
