Internships

The MF is an organization built upon the dedication of volunteers and interns. There are a variety of ways to get involved and support the Museum's operations, programs, outreach and events. Internships are offered year-round. Scheduling for internships is flexible.

Volunteer
The MF is always looking for reliable, personable volunteers to contribute to the museum’s mission. Volunteers help in various departments within the Museum such as visitor services, exhibitions, education, and more. Must be 18+ to volunteer with exhibitions.

Visitor Experience Associate

Teaching Artist, part-time

This position may be for you if you are creative, flexible, have a passion for working with children, and have a minimum of two years of experience in studio art and informal education. This position primarily leads in-person, on-site and outreach programs.

Tour Guide, part-time

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about connecting visitors with exhibitions and the artistic process in the gallery setting. Tour Guides provide unique and meaningful gallery experiences for visitors of all ages and abilities by leading tours for groups of varying sizes.

Visitor Experience Associate, part-time, WED 10:30AM-8PM and THU-SUN 10:30AM-6PM, as needed

Visitor Experience Associates play a key role in providing a positive and insightful visitor experience by engaging with visitors and facilitating a deeper understanding of the installations. Often the only staff member a visitor will encounter on their visit, they monitor gallery spaces, welcome guests, sell tickets at the front desk and assist in the MF Shop as needed. They report to the Visitor Experience Manager and interface regularly with all museum employees. $13.00/hour. Benefits include paid time off.
