After School @ the Factory

After School @ the Factory is a free art program for students grades 3-5. Join our Mattress Factory Teaching Artists as they lead you on creative adventures inspired by our exhibiting artists from around the world and around the corner. Each semester, students will try new techniques, experiment with materials, and engage in conversation about artists, community, and ideas.

Kids Summer Workshop Series

Mattress Factory is hosting one-of-a-kind artist-led Saturday workshops for children ages 7-12 this summer. These workshops are designed to be hands-on experiences that allow young artists to explore new materials and art making processes inspired by the amazing work of exhibiting and local artists!
Tours

INSTALLATION LAB

Museum Educators lead students on a guided tour of the museum, followed by a break. Students are welcome to bring sack lunches from school or home and to eat in the museum’s garden or lobby space. Students then engage in an hour-long art activity in the museum’s education studio. All materials are provided.

The INSTALLATION LAB visit is 3 hours long and is recommended for grades 1-12, for up to 40 guests. $15 per student.
