After School @ the Factory

Spend your Wednesday afternoons hanging out at the Mattress Factory! Participating students work directly with artists to explore themes such as collaboration, tolerance, and spatial experience, all within the context of contemporary art practice.

Art And… takes guests beyond the artwork, through unique partnerships that create one-of-a-kind experiences and new ways to see and enjoy installation art.

The Mattress Factory provides the opportunity for members of all levels the chance to meet with installing MF artists in an intimate setting. Hear from artists about their practice, perhaps see their work-in-progress and ask them any questions you have. Join us for a genuine face-to-face experience with our artists!

Join us for our Matter of Fact(ory) program where members meet with various Departments to enjoy a virtual behind-the-scenes look at what staff is working on at the Museum!

Summer @ the Factory

Join us for Summer @ the Factory! Mattress Factory is hosting virtual and in-person classes for ages 7-14 through July and August. These classes are designed to be hands-on experiences that allows our young artists to explore new materials and art making processes inspired by the amazing work in our galleries!

Teen Art Cooperative

TEEN ART COOPERATIVE is a year-long program for teens focused on collaboration, creative practice and exploration. This program is for self-motivated students who are interested in learning about how a museum operates as well as how to sustain a life of creative practice [translation: be an ARTIST].

Teen Summer Workshop Series

6 free workshops, from 6 different artists, focusing on 6 different creative processes! Rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are welcome to pick and choose the workshops (one or more or all!) that sound most intriguing to them. Each workshop is led by a different artist excited to share their creative vision with adventurous teens this summer!
