McCaslin installed 6 walls of metal studs, which are standard building materials. The studs in each wall are 16 inches apart; and each wall is installed 16 inches from the next wall. As a group, they separate the room’s entrance from its windows. It is possible for a person to slip through the spaces to stand amidst the studs.
At the bottom of the stairs leading to the gallery, a coil of electrical cable, with metal covering, placed on the floor, encircling a lightbulb.
The in between, to be somewhere, to be in a room, to be in a wall, to be in your mind, to be in my mind. A work place, a domestic place, any place, every place. The journey, the continual, letting go to find out from within.
