About the Artist

Edie Tsong is a visual artist, writer, and archivist. She is the Founding Director of Cut + Paste Society, a community of women writers and artists in the Santa Fe area, and the Founding Director of their project Snow Poems Project. Tsong is on the board of New Mexico Literary Arts and Herekeke Art Center and lives and works in Santa Fe, NM with her daughter.

Tsong’s projects explore the identity as a practice of intimacy. She performs interdisciplinary investigations through material, process, craft, language, and technology to take the form of conceptual portraits, socially-engaged projects, writing, and radical bookmaking. They range in scale from small performances and object to city-wide installations, cultural programming, and facilitated conversations.

She has exhibited her work throughout the United States and abroad including, Center for Contemporary Art, Santa Fe, MN; Field Gallery, Portland, OR; University of Rochester, Rochester, NY; Harwood Art Center, Albuquerque, NM; Finish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, Finland, and many more.
