This play is a reflection on the (im)possibility of accepting diversity and the other. The fragmented body of the neoplasm—the fruit of unstable conditions—overcomes barriers, loves and denies itself and others, wanders around, forgetting its profession. It frequently and with pleasure divides, goes through dangerous palpation, questions the possibility of contact with the experience of the other. Poorly brought up but very successful, it invites us to a trans-species transition.

Artist Statement
I think it is important to make our environment more visible and bring up the question of how much of our physical world we really see. Nowadays we are numbed by noise, media, and virtual space, creating a situation in which we are less and less able to simply observe and discover our immediate surroundings.
Exhibition
Rebecca Holland was born in Colorado Springs, CO, and lives and works in San Antonio, TX. She holds an MFA in Ceramic Sculpture from the University of Massachusetts, North Dartmouth, and a BA in Ceramics and Painting from Bennington College in Vermont. She is currently an adjunct professor at San Antonio College.
