This play is a reflection on the (im)possibility of accepting diversity and the other. The fragmented body of the neoplasm—the fruit of unstable conditions—overcomes barriers, loves and denies itself and others, wanders around, forgetting its profession. It frequently and with pleasure divides, goes through dangerous palpation, questions the possibility of contact with the experience of the other. Poorly brought up but very successful, it invites us to a trans-species transition.

Exhibition
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Karyn Olivier received her BA from Dartmouth College and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Awards for her work include the Core Fellowship Residency at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and Skowhegan’s Camille Hanks Cosby Fellowship for African-American Artists. Olivier’s installations alter architectural space to affect our experience of it in playful and sometimes disquieting ways. Her work has been exhibited at the Nave Museum, Victoria, TX; Galveston Fine Arts Center; Dallas Center for Contemporary Art, the Soap Factory, Minneapolis, MN; and PS.1 Contemporary Art Center and the Sculpture Center, New York.
