Appropriating three discarded booths from a popular North Side bar and installing them at 1414 Monterey, they have set up memory games and small video sequences on the tables. In one, a telephone is available for visitors to the show to call the artists and have a brief conversation about the work.
Materials for this installation include Gary Petsch pottery, dinner booths from Rosa Villa, Warhol glass, Lowell Brown memory game and household items from Attack Theater and the artists’ personal collection.
Michele de la Reza (American, b. 1969) is co-founder of the Attack Theater in Pittsburgh. The intent of this theater is to bring different types of dancing, multimedia, and interdisciplinary art together to interact with the audiences.
Peter Kope (American, b. 1967) is an artist working in Pittsburgh.
