Laura Jean McLaughlin attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she received a BS in Medical Technology. At West Virginia University she received her MFA in Ceramics. She has had three residences at the Kohler Company in Wisconsin as well as being a recipient of the Maggie Milono Memorial Award from Carnegie Museum of Art.
