Using brass, iron and steel, the artist creates a small, precisionist, and industrial landscape.
ROY is a jeweler and silversmith. Using brass, iron and steel, she creates a small, precisionist, and industrial landscape. But instead of welding her materials she uses the precious soldering metals of the silversmith. The sound of industrial energy is incorporated into the piece and a trail of white smoke intermittently escapes from a smokestack.
ROY received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and her MFA from Kent State University in small sculpture. She creates sculptural metalwork inspired by architectural shapes and forms.
