Description

Kevin O’Toole is a sculptor. The light streaming into the third floor room in the gallery provided the axes for this wall drawing. As a sculptor he seldom works from preliminary drawing (although he has done so in the past), but this is the first time he has worked directly onto the surface of a wall. The multilayered treatment (silver leaf, dry pigment, size and under-taping) edges toward a low relief sculpture.
